JPMorgan Chase Asset Management Controller - Associate in Columbus, Ohio

Join our Asset Management Controller team as part of Global Finance and Business Management. You will focus on ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the firm's books and records, with an emphasis on general ledger, operating systems, and infrastructure controls across the entire lifecycle of the Asset Management business.

As an Asset Management Controller in the Global Finance and Business Management team, you will have the opportunity to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our firm's books and records. You will focus on general ledger, operating systems, and infrastructure controls across the entire lifecycle of the Asset Management business. We value initiative, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role offers the chance to lead ad hoc projects and build efficiencies, strengthening our internal control environment.

Job responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries

  • Reconcile Accounts

  • Report on Investments

  • Close out legal entity and line of business at month-end

  • Complete pre- and post-close variance analysis

  • Work on process documentation

  • Prepare Financial statements

  • Complete General ledger chart of accounts support and leading ad hoc projects

  • Work independently and in team environments that require strong interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrate initiative for building efficiencies and strengthening the internal control environment of our team

  • Provide thorough documentation of work performed that will withstand an audit by external or internal examiners

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting

  • 3+ years of experience required

  • Strong analytical skills, takes initiative, decisive, and accountable

  • Ability to independently analyze, report, and explain financial data

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to multi-task in a constantly changing environment

  • Public accounting experience/CPA/MBA a plus

  • Business acumen associated with the financial services industry is a plus

Candidates must be able to physically work in our Columbus, OH office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management
