Elevance Health Actuarial Analyst III (US) in Columbus, Ohio
Location: Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and in-office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. This includes remote work and 1-2 days in office per week. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
The Actuarial Analyst lll completes very diverse and complicated projects and performs very complex actuarial studies.
How You Will Make an Impact
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Analyzes and implements risk contracts including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing and settlement work; and prepares management reports supporting new capitation initiatives.
State Lead Analyst and Support Analyst as assigned.
Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists.
Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS and to have passed a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams and a minimum of 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Proficiency in complex actuarial analyses, including experience with risk contracts, pricing, and capitation initiatives is preferred
Strong ability to create and interpret findings in management reports effectively.
Demonstrate capability in project coordination and direction, particularly in the realm of actuarial communications is preferred.
Experience mentoring junior actuarial staff, showcasing leadership and guidance skills is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of the Medicaid actuarial field with focus in Pricing and/or Valuation is preferred.
