We are seeking a dedicated Head Cook to join a great team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that students and staff receive nutritious and delicious meals in a safe and welcoming environment. Summary of the Head Cook position:

• Location: Columbus, Nebraska
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day, 9 months/year
• Pay: $17.15/hour

Responsibilities of the Head Cook:

• Prepare serving line to hold hot food for lunch
• Prepare food for lunch following health codes and guidelines
• Keep serving line stocked with necessary items
• Assist in serving students and staff during lunchtime
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including dishes and serving areas
• Handle condiments and other meal accompaniments as needed
• Properly store leftover food and maintain documentation of amounts and temperatures
• Wash dishes after meals and as needed during service
• Clean dishwashing area thoroughly at the end of each shift
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements for the Head Cook position:

• Must be able to stand, sit, bend, stoop, reach, pull and lift up to 10 pounds carrying items up to 20 feet

Qualifications for the Head Cook position:

• High School Diploma preferred
• Previous experience in food service preferred
• ASFSA certification preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
• Flexibility to perform various tasks as needed
