This Position is for a Maintenance Planner with a work location in Columbus, MS.
Your role and responsibilities
Plan and coordinate daily maintenance, large projects, and shut down activities
Scheduling and formal planning of maintenance activities to reduce downtime durations
Material planning, procurement, and inventory management
Communicating and coordination with Maintenance and Production
Analyzing, evaluating, and processing work orders
Maintaining records, provide accurate updates and reporting
Determine safety and permit requirements
Scheduling technicians, estimate labor hours, materials availability and costs eliminating schedule or customer conflicts
Striving to improve maintenance process and increase equipment uptime
Attend required job specific trainings
Qualifications for the role
Education: High school diploma is essential, some college or technical school strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Maintenance, or Scheduler, or Planner position
Mechanical or Electrical background desired with knowledge of general maintenance work
Detailed oriented, ability to prioritize, well organized, analytical problem solving/failure analysis
Team player w/excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service
Project Management experience is a big plus!
Computer skills needed: Excel, Word, and SAP for maintenance and material planning
