BASE PAY : $21.01 per hour plus $0.75 per hour shift differential
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Check in newly received tooling/material.
Maintain and pull repeat tooling: Printing plates and cutting dies
Deliver required tooling to each machine before setup begins.
Maintain Shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.
Works as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity while decreasing downtime and waste.
Assume active role in overall plant facilities-related work.
Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.
Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
Maintain Shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.
May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or GED
Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment
Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug test.
Must be able to sit, stoop, and bend.
Must be able to pull and stage tooling up to 85 lbs.
Must be able to train and be certified for Scissor Lift use
Must be able to manage inventory slot locations
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
Experience in use of Scissor Lift
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel.
Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work with multiple numbers and schedules
Thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
Work with a sense of urgency to reduce downtime of machines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Requires basic computer skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Personal protective equipment – such as eye protection, hearing protection, foot protection, cut resistant gloves, or other special protective equipment – is necessary to reduce hazard exposure
Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear for up to 12 hours on a daily basis
Ability to push, pull, bend, and stoop repetitively
Required to use hands and arms to reach, stack and turn with repetitive motion
Also required to stoop, kneel, and or crouch
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 85 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision
