Allied Universal Physical Security Project Coordinator in Columbus, Indiana

Allied Universal® is hiring a Physical Security Project Coordinator. The Physical Security Project Coordinator will manage, design, coordinate, and communicate between the client project personnel and the physical security integration companies that perform installation, testing, and maintenance services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify new construction or retrofit projects that will require physical security integration to include IP camera, access control, and intrusion detection systems and supporting or related equipment and technology

  • During the preconstruction phase:

  • Coordinate site security designs, Requests for Quote (RFQ), and budget estimations

  • Communicate with facilities, safety, IT team members, Project Managers, systems administrators, and regional partners

  • Review design and cost proposals with facilities and the Physical Security Manager

  • Perform vendor selection and pricing negotiations

  • Delegation of project deadlines; collaborate with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met

  • During the installation phase:

  • Manage the security portion of the project work to include the design, installation, and testing phases

  • Troubleshoot problems that arise within each phase

  • Report project status to the Physical Security Manager

  • Evaluate vendor performance, implement steps to resolve performance issues and missed deadlines

  • Post-installation phase:

  • Design and implement quality assurance measures and confirm customer satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Education or work experience in security system technology, networking, and/or administration (e.g., system management, configuration, installation, etc.)

  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and written

  • Highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines

  • Able to use good independent judgment and discretion

  • Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study

  • Experience with Honeywell ProWatch, Axis Camera Station, AXIS cameras

  • Professional security system design and integration experience

  • Knowledge of/certifications in Milestone, and Qognify/Ocularis video management systems

  • American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) membership

  • Project management experience
