Columbus Regional Hospital Pharmacy Medication History Technician in Columbus, Indiana

What you need to know about this position:

  • Round the clock department servicing every area of patient care within the hospital with more than 45 dynamic workers consisting of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

  • As a Medication History Technician, you will play a crucial role in our patients' health by obtaining medication information and identifying any discrepancies to ensure accurate and appropriate treatment.

  • This position will be primarily located in the Emergency Department with some pharmacy related responsibilities.

  • The Medication History Technician will need to be comfortable with routinely talking to patients, other healthcare organizations, and pharmacies about medication histories.

  • The Pharmacy Medication History Technician will focus on medication history documentation dedicated to gathering the most accurate prior to admission (PTA) medication list possible.

  • Our Medication History Technician will need to be comfortable with routinely talking to patients, other healthcare organizations, and pharmacies about medication histories.

  • The base hourly rate for this position is $19.26. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.

  • This full-time position will require you to work 36 hours weekly, 7:00AM-7:30PM, with a weekend and holiday rotation.

    What is required for this position:

    Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

  • Indiana Tech-in-Training permit required within 28 days of hire unless already have an Indiana Pharmacy Technician License

  • Indiana Pharmacy Technician License (or Indiana State Board of Pharmacy approved equivalent) required within 6 months of hire.
