DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Event Coordinator to join our team specializing in Hospitality for our Cummins Inc. facility in Columbus, IN, United States.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Event Planning and Execution : Handle all aspects of event planning, including logistics, vendor coordination, and timeline management.

  • Stakeholder Communication : Act as the main point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure all event requirements are met.

  • On-Site Event Management : Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown, addressing any issues that arise.

  • Advanced Communication Skills: Proficiency in both verbal and written communication to effectively coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and team members.

  • Willingness to Perform Front-of-House Tasks: Ability and readiness to undertake all front-of-house duties as required, including bartending, wine service, dining room management, serving, busing, room set-up and tear-down, and meeting room services.

  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Event Coordination Experience: Proven experience in managing various types of events, hospitality/catering, or a related field

RESPONSIBILITIES

Education/Experience

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Preferences:

2-4 years of relevant experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field

Experience with Event Management Software

QUALIFICATIONS

The Event Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day planning, management, and execution of meetings and events within Hospitality’s scope. This role will serve as the primary functional owner of Hospitality-managed event spaces and calendars in Columbus, IN, acting as the first point of contact for meeting and event hosts. The Event Coordinator must maintain strong, consistent communication and partnerships with Cummins employees, hosts, Global Integrated Services, and preferred vendors.

While we are in the Facilities function of Cummins, we work in Global Integrated Services-Hospitality.
