What You Will Do:

Columbus Forge Disks is looking for a Senior Logistics Manager, Disks to support the module center as part of the Nickel Powder Value Stream.

Reporting to the site materials leader, the Senior Logistics Manager, Disks, will interact and collaborate with the Production Control and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely execution of product delivery to and from vendors along with deliveries to our customers. The Senior Logistics Manager, Disks must embrace CORE (Customer Oriented, Results and Excellence), which is Pratt & Whitney’s Operating System; additionally, champion lean manufacturing and excel in a team environment with high-performance expectations.

  • Manage shipping and receiving teams for the Columbus Forge Disks business unit.

  • Setup and maintain schedules for inbound and outbound shipments; direct flow of material and product to and from the vendor base.

  • Work with cross functional teams to implement logistical improvements.

  • Develop reporting tools to track material and product location throughout the value stream.

  • Oversee the export process of products; manage inventory in Raw Material and Finished Goods warehouses.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years' experience in a manufacturing, materials, operations management, program/project management, supply chain/logistics or continuous improvement environment or a Master's Degree and minimum 7 years of experience in a manufacturing, materials, operations management, program/project management, supply chain/logistics or continuous improvement environment

  • Experience in production control and/or materials planning, inventory management & delivery assurance

  • Demonstrated experience using ERP systems and applying analytical skills to drive results

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

​Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging operational background, internal customer focus, relationship development and communication skills for continuous improvement, business and team success

  • CORE or equivalent certification including process maturity development and root cause corrective action methods and tools

  • Master's degree

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
