The faculty of the School of Visual Art and Design at the University of South Carolina, Columbia campus, invites applications for a full time, professional-track faculty appointment at the rank of Instructor to begin August 16, 2024. This is a 9-month appointment that may be renewed annually contingent upon Dean’s approval, satisfactory performance, departmental needs, and the availability of funding.

Applicants must have an MFA degree in studio art, with expertise in sculpture and a variety of 3D materials using multiple tools and applications (e.g., traditional woodworking to found object assemblage, fiber arts, metals such as metalsmithing, welding and/or blacksmithing, and digital fabrication processes), and one year or more of college-level teaching experience by the start date of employment.
