Our professional services client is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team in Columbia, South Carolina. This role primarily involves processing and analyzing financial data. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing legal documents, creating spreadsheets, and strategizing future business plans.

Responsibilities:

• Review and manage legal documents to ensure compliance.

• Communicate and negotiate with existing business relationships to maintain positive interactions.

• Oversee bookkeeping and data entry staff to ensure accurate record keeping.

• Strategize with business owners to develop future business plans.

• Use financial analysis and reporting skills to provide valuable insights for business decisions.

• Utilize strong Excel skills to work through spreadsheets and create new ones as needed.

• Apply knowledge of Financial Analysis and Investment Financial Analysis in daily tasks.

• Conduct month-end close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting.

• Utilize QuickBooks for financial management.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance position

• Have hands-on experience with Month End Close procedures

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and reporting

• Experience with QuickBooks for financial management and operations

• Able to interpret and analyze financial data for business performance understanding

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field is preferred

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation is considered a plus.
