Growing home builder in the metro Columbia, SC area is hiring an Accounting Manger to join their Finance team. The Accounting Manager will lead and manage the accounts payable team and also have an exciting productivity focus with operational costs and workflow process. In addition to managing the AP process, this role will assist with general ledger and month end activities to ensure the accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance with internal policies. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. The Accounts Payable Manager should be someone who is extremely driven, goal-oriented, and career-focused.

The ideal candidates will have 5+ years of related accounting experience, accounts payable, and supervisory experience are ideal. A bachelors in accounting or finance is a must have. Strong intermediate Excel skills are mandatory (pivot tables/v-lookups) and ERP experience is ideal. Requirements

• Ideally a minimum of 3 years of experience in a role managing or supervising accounting professionals

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) management and demonstrated ability in direct supervision of accounting teams

• Skilled in account reconciliation as well as experience with actively supporting the month end close procedures

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations
