EquipmentShare is searching for an Embedded Hardware Engineer II to support our Robotics and Embedded Systems Teams at our headquarters in Columbia, MO.

As an Embedded Hardware Engineer on the Robotics Team, you’ll develop and build automated construction technology, and you’ll work to expand our automated platform offerings.

As an Embedded Hardware Engineer II you will be responsible for:

  • design, development, and deployment of software that is built into the hardware of robotic systems.

  • process sensory data from various sources such as cameras, lidar, and ultrasonic sensors to generate real-time maps, localize the robot, and plan optimal paths

  • conducting research and developing new applications for existing robots

    So, what is important to us? Skills & Qualifications

  • We are looking for engineers with 2 + of significant experience designing electronic hardware for the automotive and/or heavy equipment industry.

  • You’re experienced with designing multilayer printed circuit boards using Altium Designer or similar EDA software.

  • You’ve got a strong knowledge of communication buses: CAN, USB, Serial, I2C, SPI.

  • You’re capable of designing hardware solutions using PIC and ARM embedded microcontrollers.

  • You’ll be a great communicator (verbally and with the written word) as you’ll work closely with team members to review schematics and new designs.

  • If you’re not based in Missouri, then you’re willing to relocate to work at our headquarters in Columbia, MO., our Technology Center in Kansas City, MO, or Woodridge, IL.
