AIR’s Information Technology (IT) team is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join its innovative group. The Information Technology team provides a secure technology environment that allows AIR to become more productive (quantity) and efficient (quality). This position reports to the Senior IT Project Manager. You will work with a dynamic team and have opportunities to pursue mutual, long-term career development goals. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing technical projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Responsibilities
The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for the following activities:
Manage multiple projects of various sizes utilizing established project management methodology.
Document requirements, develop budgets, and schedules for projects.
Oversee implementation of project plans as well as monitor progress, resource usage, and quality.
Potentially lead an ERP implementation project in close collaboration with SMEs, other IT staff, and external consultants and ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives
Navigate changes that arise and escalate issues promptly.
Conduct risk assessments and develop plans for eliminating or mitigating the risks identified.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the defined project quality standards.
Manage client and stakeholder expectations via status reports, meetings, and formal and ad hoc communications.
Build strong relationships with various teams to influence project priorities and delivery.
Participate in continuous improvement of the IT project management process.
Collaborate with the project management team to share best practices, resolve project issues, and ensure that staff is properly allocated to tasks while considering staff skills, interests, and the projects’ needs.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
Master’s Degree in MIS, Business Management, or a related field and at least 7 years of project management experience or a Bachelor’s degree in the above fields and at least 8 years of project management experience.
Project management certification (PMP, CAPM) is a plus but not required.
Business analysis and structured systems analysis certifications are a plus but not required.
Skills:
Effective communicator with demonstrated ability to communicate with and understand the needs of both technical and non-technical internal and external clients.
Effectively collaborate in a virtual, cross-functional diverse team environment.
Demonstrated ability to work well independently, and collaboratively as needed.
Adept in a fast-paced environment to manage multiple concurrent deliveries.
Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a focus on details.
Strong business acumen, consultative, and leadership skills.
Experienced in change management across all levels of stakeholders.
Experience implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Knowledge of contemporary information technologies and cloud-based services.

AIR’s Total Rewards Program , is designed to reward our staff competitively and motivate them to achieve our critical mission. This position offers an anticipated annual salary of $136,505 to $141,505. Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets. Please note this is the annual salary range for candidates that are based in the United States.
