Lead Caregiver (Full-Time) Griswold Home Care in Howard County, Maryland, is calling all compassionate individuals to apply to join our amazing team as a full-time Lead Caregiver! Compensation: $19.00/hour, guaranteed 40 hours per week; health, dental, vision; PTO; Paid Vacation; Mileage reimbursement for miles driven from ofce to a client and back to the ofce, and/or between client shifts if lling two shifts in a day; overtime; weekly paydays, & developmental education opportunities   YOUR LIFE AS A LEAD CAREGIVER This position offers flexible hours and opportunities to assist older adults on both day and night shifts. This LEAD CAREGIVER position is a exible position that is either in the ofce every weekday from 9 AM to 5 PM, or lls in as a caregiver when needed on shifts around the Howard County territory. This includes opportunities for both day and night shifts.  In the ofce, directly reporting to the Director/Assistant Director, the Lead Caregiver will support the administrative functions of business operations. This includes supporting recruiting and hiring; client Intakes; Sales operations; delivery of supplies to caregivers; assembling marketing packets and materials; assembling employee onboarding packets; conduction orientation with new Caregivers, assists Care Professionals with filing & preparing reports and documentation; and manages the Care Professional Mentorship Program; advocates for equitable distribution of shifts to all Care Professionals.   In the field, directly reporting to the RN, the Lead Caregiver covers emergent gaps in the care schedule due to unannounced or announced shift vacancies. Serves as the lead mentor and educator for Caregivers and conducts regularly scheduled mentorship visits to assist our caregiver’s with care plan tasks and improving the quality of service to our clients. The Lead Caregiver ensures proper flow of communication is occurring between Client and Caregiver, and Caregiver and the Agency staff.  Serves as another set of eyes to recommend changes to the care plan. In this role you have the rewarding job of helping older adults live as fully and independently as possible while remaining in the places they love. You competently provide non-medical elderly care and home companionship, helping with various responsibilities such as laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation. With the client’s dignity always at the forefront of your mind, you help them maintain proper personal hygiene. You are gentle and professional as you aid them with daily tasks such as bathing and feeding. At times, you provide companionship to clients who have dementia or cognitive impairments. Your kind and patient demeanor serves you well as you ensure they receive the highest quality of elderly care. You carefully complete documentation for each shift, submitting timely updates.
