Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proficient Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Duties:

The Accountant will:

  • Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Oversee and monitor budgeting and forecasting of programs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
  • Calculate and file federal, state, and local taxes.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze financial data and trends
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Communicate effectively with other departments, such as sales and operations.
  • May participate in audits or respond to inquiries from auditors

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience with accounting software, such as Unanet, UKG Payroll, or DelTek
  • Knowledgeable with Excel at level using V-lookups, Formulas, and Linking sheets
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Government contracts experience is a plus.
  • Understanding Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) a plus.
