Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our facility that supplies wire and cable products, including magnet wire, which is an insulated copper or aluminum conductor. Magnet wire is used in various applications such as industrial motors, transformers, generators, automotive applications, electrical coils and controls, and appliances. At our plant, we melt down material and extrude bare wire. The selected candidates will operate winding and cutting machines, and potentially work on the furnace that melts the wire down. They will also be responsible for facilities maintenance and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate winding machines and cutting machines.

• Potentially work on the furnace that melts wire down.

• Perform facilities maintenance tasks.

• Conduct preventive maintenance activities.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

• Welding experience.

• Some electrical knowledge.

• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

• Troubleshooting skills.

• Must own tooling.

Additional Qualifications Considered A Plus

• PLC experience.

• Additional welding experience.

Work Environment

The work environment can be hot but is well-lit and very clean for a metal working facility. This position is for the night shift, running from 7pm to 7am on a 2-2-3 schedule. Pay starts at $26.00, after 3 months will get a raise to $29.90.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia City, Indiana .

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
