Sustainment Test and Evaluation Engineer, Junior The Opportunity: When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. That's why we need you, a test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.

As a test engineer on our team, you'll work with testers and engineers as part of a team evaluating software developed for the DoD. You'll help develop a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using hands on and manual processes, you'll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.

We are looking for an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to support a MILSATCOM Program Office managing a diverse set of strategic and tactical MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure. The candidate will provide test and evaluation and terminal operations support of a diverse set of strategic and tactical MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) for an Air Force client. We support the Air Force's acquisition of state-of-the-art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation's warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

You Have: Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Ability to be a motivated self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning and improvement Ability to learn and employ DoD or USAF test processes and documentation Ability to work with military or DoD civilian clients and manage professional relationships Ability to learn MILSATCOM equipment and troubleshooting Ability to learn and employ handling procedures for Communications Security (COMSEC) materials and devices Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or CS

Nice If You Have: Experience with DoD or USAF test processes and documentation, including with Operational Tests (OT) supporting a DoD Operational Test Agency or Organization Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships Experience with MILSATCOM equipment and troubleshooting Experience handling COMSEC materials and devices Experience operating or maintaining FAB-T, AFCPT, TDSPP, MMS, GMT, GBS Receive Suites, cryptographic equipment such as KIV-7M, ANDVT, KGV-11, or KG-250, or related infrastructure or support equipment Knowledge of DoD system sustainment mission Possession of excellent written and verbal communications, and presentation skills International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certification such as ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certification

Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
