Lockheed Martin Staff Systems Engineer (Relocation to Australia) in Colorado Springs, Colorado

C4ISR is looking for a proven and experienced technical leader to serve as the Lead Systems Engineer for the AIR6500 program in LM Australia. This position will be a 2 year EXPAT position based in Adelaide, South Australia. AIR6500 is a >$1B Joint Air Battle Management System (JABMS) program.

In this role you will:

- Develop of CONOPs, requirement analysis, systems architecture (operational, functional, physical), systems analysis, and complete understanding of system lifecycle from system concept through system delivery.

- Perform technical planning, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product.

- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements derivation and allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into lower level specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in with 8 years of professional experience; or 6 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Strong system engineering skills with an emphasis on software-intensive systems and system of systems integration

• Broad background in systems engineering and with specific experience in DOORS.

• Detailed knowledge and understanding of systems engineering processes, flow down of system requirements, and the interaction of system and subsystem requirements that result in a firm set of system and subsystem level performance requirements, subsystem integration, and system test.

• Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to communicate well with peers and different levels of management.

• Understanding & Experience with Rhapsody and SysML

• Experience with model based system engineering (MBSE) for system development

Desired Skills:

• Previous experience working on the AIR6500 and/or AIR6502 Capture/Tech Solution.

• Previous domain knowledge & experience in the area of Air Battle Management.

• Previous domain knowledge & experience in the area of Air & Missile Defense Systems.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
