About the Opportunity:

Joint Enterprise Technologies is currently seeking an experienced Security Incident Analyst to join  our team and be  responsible for the mitigation of security incidents on customer information systems. The SIA investigates incidents involving customer information technology (IT) assets and personnel, and reports to the Computer Network Defense Center (CNDC) and Information Systems Security Managers (ISSM) for situational awareness and tracking purposes. SIA then manages, coordinates, and reports mitigation actions in order to sanitize agency assets prior to resolving cases.

Required Clearance:

  • AN ACTIVE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO APPLY.

  • Willingness to submit to and pass a Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph.

  • Pearl Harbor, HI

  • Washington, DC

  • Riverdale, MD

  • Reston, VA

  • Norfolk, VA

  • Charlottesville, VA

Functional Duties:

  • Manage network computer and system security incidents relating to data spills, misclassifications, unauthorized software downloads, system misconfigurations, cross-domain violations, etc.

  • Perform incident investigation and analysis to research and gather information for mitigation coordination.

  • Utilize cyber and case management tools.

  • P repare case evidence and incident reports.

  • Provide training and guidance to less-experienced technical staff members, and customer education to network users.

  • Work on special projects as assigned.

  • Preferred Skills: Splunk, Proofpoint, Fidelis, Solera, Windows, and Linux Operating Systems.

Education and Experience: 

  • HS/GED + 10 years experience

  • Associates Degree + 8 years experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree + 6 years experience

  • Master’s Degree + 4 years experience

  • PhD + 2 years experience

Required Certifications: 

  • DoD 8750 IAT III:   One of the following certifications is required: CASP+CE, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH

  • DoD 8750 Specialty, CSSP Auditor:  One of the following certifications is required: CEH, CySA+, CISA, GSNA, CFR, PenTest
