Job Descriptions:

Sigmatech is seeking a Orbital Warfare Instructor to develop, implement, validate, and maintain training and course material at the National Security Space Institute (NSSI), Colorado Springs, CO for the multiple NSSI courses.

Specific duties:

• Provide classroom instruction consistent with Instructional System Development (ISD) satisfying government training requirements

• Interface with internal and external customers as required maintaining up-to-date training program

• Conduct, manage and qualify for lessons based on NSSI instructions and other guidance as identified in lesson plans

• Coordinate instructional activities with the Department Head, College Dean(s), training managers and government training personnel

• Provide subject matter expertise on DoD and US space systems and organizations

• Ensure orbital dynamics and physicas are correctly and effectively incorporated into lesson plans, visual aids, student study material and student prerequisite materials.

• Develop, maintain, and administer all orbital warfare area measurements to ensure all Samples of Behavior are properly evaluated in accordance with ISD practices.

Required Experience:

Experience Required:

• Possess working knowledge and experience with training systems and training programs

• Possess working knowledge of and experience with operational level command and control

• Possess expert knowledge of orbital motion, orbital elements, orbital perturbations, ground tracks, orbit types, launch and prediction

• Demonstrated experience with orbit determination and analysis, maneuver planning, Rendezvous Proximity Operations (RPO) and space surveillance

• Expert knowledge with mission planning, building, and executing orbital maneuvers to defeat terrestrial-based and space-based attacks

• Completion of Air Force Instructor Course preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)

• Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required

Required Experience Education Required:

• Master's degree from an accredited institution in engineering or similar field

Years of Experience:

• 6 to 8 years of experience with DoD training, to include planning and delivering instruction in accordance with the ISD model and training records keeping

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $115,000 to $125,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
