Immediate opening for Machinist (Colorado Springs)

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. Manual machining experience is a plus. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities: - Set up and operate manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders - Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations - Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers - Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials for each job - Monitor the machining process to ensure accuracy and efficiency - Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards - Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment - Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes

Qualifications: - Previous 2 - 5 years of experience - Journeyman Machinist Degree or trade school is preferred but is not necessary. - Proficiency in operating power tools, CNC machines, and other machining equipment -Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) - Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints - Solid understanding of machining principles and techniques - Proficiency in using software such as Fusion 360 is preferred, but not necessary - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, and a team player is a MUST - Must be punctual, ready to start work on time
