The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and will be part of the Platform and Infrastructure (P&I) information technology team and assist senior system administrators and government network subject matter experts with the management and sustainment of network components supporting associated support networks. Required Qualifications: • B.S. in a related discipline. • Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP). • Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance. • Knowledge of network architecture, engineering, design, implementation, and testing. • Understanding of network communication protocols and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP) and IP network troubleshooting. • Basic knowledge of network testing methodologies using routers, switches, and firewalls. • Knowledge of TCP/IP behavior, network communications and routing protocols, network traffic analysis, and troubleshooting experience. • Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools. • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers. • Familiarity with network communication products, including routers, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS), and data encryption products. Desired Qualifications: • Hands Knowledge, skill sets, or experience using protocol analyzers/sniffers (e.g., Wireshark). • Experience in Network Management Systems (HP Network Node Manager, Solarwinds, and NAS/SAN technologies (NetApp or Gigastore). • Certifications in the industry vendor Juniper or Cisco a plus. Salaries are commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications within the experience bandwidth, as well as market and business considerations.
