Position Overview

Seeking Hardware Engineers for the Ground-Based Radar (GBR) Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) contract. GMASS supports the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of five Upgraded Early Warning Radars (UEWR), and one Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS). The ground-based radars are critical to US and Allied strategic missile warning, missile defense, and space domain awareness missions. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical (signal, power & thermal) analysis at the rack level

• Generation of engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards, including rack assembly drawings, interconnect wiring diagrams and custom cable assemblies

• Analysis of supplier LRUs, including step-file and 3D model review and compliance to specifications

• Ability to support system integration, test, development, and execution of various types of complex communications systems

• Develops technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity

• Provide lab and site integration, test, and maintenance support

• Participate in troubleshooting systems to resolve complex issues, interact, and coordinate with engineers responsible for sustaining sub-systems

  Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (+ varying years of related experience depending on Junior, Mid, and Senior Level position)

• Active Secret Clearance

• Experience in designing new or modifying existing products, developing technical specifications for production, analyzing hardware configuration and processing solutions, and testing hardware conformance to specifications

  Preferred Qualifications  

• Experience sustaining Ground-Based Radar systems (GBRs), or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as UEWR or PAVE PAWS

• Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) mission and associated enterprise

• Ability to communicate effectively across teams and resolve gaps

• Experience maintaining national security mission networks
