BrainCare LLC Group Home Caregiver in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Join an exciting and rewarding job with a growing and well-respected Company in a specialized industry working with adults with physical and mental disabilities in a group home setting, helping them to achieve their maximum level of independence. You will be involved with daily rehabilitation in a residential setting to include assisting with cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, budgeting and other independent living skills. Duties also include helping plan and implement in-home and community-based activities to meet the needs and desires of the participants, helping them work on their individual goals and documenting their progress.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for the overall care and well-being of participants.

Formulate and input documentation within an electronic data base.

Administer medications (training for QMAP Certification will be provided if not already certified).

Assist participants with daily living skills including laundry, cooking and housekeeping, grooming, etc.

Help coordinate participant activities.

Maintain a professional and positive attitude.

Experience dealing with difficult situations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.

State of Colorado Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certification is preferred, but if not held Company will pay for QMAP Training and certification depending on shift and duties.

Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Applicants under 18 will not be considered.

Must possess basic cooking skills/knowledge.

Current CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is preferred, but if not held Company will pay for training and certification.

Must have written and computer skills. Experience with charting on Electronic Health Record is preferred.

Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and criminal background check.

Pay: Competitive, $17.00 - $18.50 per hour depending on experience, education and other factors.

Supervises: No direct reports with posted position, although Company provides opportunities for advancement to other positions.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
