We are looking to place a mid-level Facilities Engineer to provide support for Peterson Space Force Base (SFB) in Colorado. JOB DESCRIPTION: * Provide assistance and technical support in the identification, development, and preparation of Facilities, Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM); Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF); customer-funded programs; and Military Construction (MILCON) projects. * Perform all required Enterprise Business System (EBS) data entry for assigned projects, as required. * Conduct NEXGEN IT, Comprehensive Planning Platform (CPP), and Sustainment Management System (SMS) data entry, data quality assurance, and data quality control in support of the 21 Civil Engineer Squadro * Work with customers to define project requirements, prepare cost estimates, draft Department of Defense (DD) Forms 1391, and other components of the acquisition package for government approval and submission. * Coordinate with governmental personnel, as necessary, to define project requirements and maintain compliance with Federal, state, local, and Air/Space Force regulations. * Follow all applicable laws and Air/Space Force Instructions when categorizing project work. * Determine the MILCON Facility Replacement Cost for facilities in accordance with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 32-1032, as required. * Assess applicable cost basis, and investigate applicable recent, relevant project data that could serve to improve fidelity of the cost estimate * Complete requirements in accordance with Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) business rules/policies. JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a facility-related field. * Minimum of 5 years of experience as a facility design engineer or construction project manager; or a minimum of 5 years of experience in DoD project programming. * Experience developing programming documents (e.g., DD Forms 1391). * Experience with and comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and analytical techniques to support complex engineering assignments relating to civil engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil electrical, and architecture). * Experience with the NEXGEN IT system and SMS tools (e.g., BUILDER). * Ability to follow established project-related procedures and complete established project milestones. * Knowledge of Federal, state, and/or local regulations and statutes, as well as Air Force or DoD regulations and documentation is preferred. * Ability to obtain a favorable Tier 1 clearance required for a Common Access Card (CAC). * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.
