Criminal Defense Attorney

Robert Half has partnered with a premier, boutique law firm in Colorado Springs on the search for a 2+ years’ Criminal Defense Attorney to join their growing team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Managing a caseload of matters within a wide range of criminal defense matters

• Performing legal research

• Drafting legal documents and preparing defense strategies

• Attending court hearings, trials, and pre-trial conferences

• Developing and maintaining client relationships

• Assisting with other practice areas within the firm when needed.

Candidates interested in this position should have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; they should be admitted and in good standing with the Colorado State Bar; and should have 2+ years of related experience. Attorneys with a background as deputy district attorney or public defender would be a great match. Jury trial experience is required. Our client offers a competitive compensation package. Requirements • Must be a Licensed Attorney with authority to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction

• Proficiency in Case Management Software for organizing and managing legal cases

• Demonstrated skills in Document Management, including the ability to draft, review, and revise legal documents

• Experience in Briefing, with the ability to communicate legal concepts clearly and concisely

• Strong capabilities in Complaint Handling, with the ability to effectively manage and resolve disputes

• Proven experience in Jury Trials, with the ability to present arguments and evidence persuasively

• Expertise in Criminal Defense Litigation, with a solid understanding of criminal law and court procedures

• Proficiency in Appellate Practice, with experience in presenting cases at appeal courts.
