Description

We are currently looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a rapidly growing company in Colorado Springs. The Accounting Clerk is expected to undertake several responsibilities geared towards accounting and administrative duties in the organization. This includes the preparation of monthly journal entries, supporting month-end activities, assisting with accounts payable, and semi-monthly check runs to help maintain the company's financial obligations to its suppliers and creditors. A part of the Accounting Clerk's duties will also include the reconciliation and organization of the company's monthly credit card charges and utility bills. They will also maintain accurate records of all financial transactions. This involves keeping up-to-date ledgers and journals and ensuring that all receipts and invoices are correctly issued and filed. This level of organization and record keeping is crucial in maintaining the financial health of the company. Besides these financial responsibilities, the candidate will also provide back-up for corporate administrative duties. This might involve stepping in to support other administrative roles when necessary, demonstrating versatility and a team-first mentality in the workplace. Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of accounting.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management is essential.

• Familiarity with billing procedures and data entry tasks is necessary.

• Demonstrable skills in invoice processing to ensure timely and accurate payments.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets, analyzing data, and managing financial information.

• Experience in preparing journal entries with accurate coding and data.

• Ability to perform month-end close activities, including finalizing financial transactions and reports.

• Experience in providing administrative assistance, such as coordinating schedules, handling correspondence, and managing filing systems.
