JOB SUMMARY: As the drafting supervisor, you ll be providing supervision, mentoring, and guidance to drafters according to the policies & procedures of Coldspring. You will follow all Coldspring guidelines to provide consistency in training from individual to individual. WHAT YOU LL BE DOING: Identifying and eliminating potential safety hazards and issues in the area Performing performance appraisals with every direct report as required Addressing disciplinary problems according to company policy Monitoring, reviewing, and coaching all Continuous Improvement Programs including Lean Management System, 5S, TPM, Kaizen, CIT s Value Stream Maps, QCDSM boards, and all other company policies Supporting the implementation and execution of sales and support policies and practices Assisting and training in establishing work procedures and processes that support company and departmental standards, procedures, and strategic directives Assisting and training in ensuring a positive customer experience by identifying and implementing process improvements aimed at cost reduction and quality improvement Reviewing tickets for Drafters in training Overseeing and reviewing drafters on current project assignments Reviewing new job files for work required, notes on cover, file, etc Conducting informal audits Reviewing & conducting interviews Working with Drafters to ensure they follow company policy & procedures Coordinating, directing, and reviewing Contract Drafting Services as required to manage project backlogs Training and mentoring new hires in Coldspring production capabilities and requirements Reviewing architectural and/or design concept drawings for structure and possible construction issues Reviewing Engineering reports; coordinating/training with Drafters on foundation, structure, and anchoring layout and design Coordinating/outsourcing engineering, complying with applicable building codes Providing ongoing personal development in soft and hard skills as required by Coldspring QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma with two years of post secondary education preferred. Experience: Five years of stone drafting experience, five years of CSG experience, or five years of previous supervisory experience. Revit, Inventor & AutoCAD training or experience. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE: Must have the knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and designs Must have excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Must have good communication and organizational skills with demonstrated abilities to execute projects on time and within a budget Must have product knowledge and/or industry knowledge. Excellent knowled e of Revit, Inventor, and AutoCAD Training and experience Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and JDE Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as a team Must have the ability to mentor and lead teams in a fast-paced high-quality environment.
