Bell Textron Australia is a helicopter maintenance and repair organisation based in Coffs Harbour, NSW and Redcliffe, QLD. An opportunity exists at each of our Redcliffe and Coffs Harbour locations for a Stores Officer. As part of a small team, you will work Monday to Friday as well as carry the AOG mobile phone on weekends on a rotating roster. This is a hands-on role that requires a pro-active approach, good problem-solving abilities and the capability to think on your feet. You will be integral in the provision of parts to our customers and maintenance teams to facilitate the timely completion of aircraft maintenance activities.

The primary purpose of the Stores Officer is to make a significant contribution to the efficiency of the business by coordinating and controlling the receipt and delivery of parts, allocating parts to Work Orders and Sales Orders, maintaining accurate records and traceability of parts, and maintaining the store in a neat and safe manner.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will have a minimum of three years warehousing experience preferably within an aviation environment, with the following skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in receipt, dispatch and stockkeeping.

  • High attention to detail with demonstrated experience maintaining records and supply chain traceability.

  • Demonstrated experience in the handling of dangerous goods and hold a Dangerous Goods Air Acceptance certificate (or ability to obtain).

  • Experience in the management of component repair orders and calibrated tooling would be advantageous.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work at a high level with workshop managers as well as external clients in a busy environment with strict deadlines.

  • Stocktaking and cycle counting – perform counts and periodical checks of stock.

  • Hold a current drivers and forklift licence.

  • Proven strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and experience working with inventory management, purchasing and warehousing software packages. Experience using Quantum Control MRO Software is highly desirable.

  • Comply with the Company pre-employment drug and alcohol policy.
