We are currently recruiting for experienced Bench Technician temporary positions to help with increased production at a manufacturing company in Coeur dAlene, ID. Compensation for the Bench Technician

  • \$20 - \$22 Per Hour DOE
  • Monday Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Overtime on Fridays as needed
  • This is a temporary position expected to last 2 months.

Responsibilities for the Bench Technician

  • Develop and generate reports to support and improve test yield of printed circuit assemblies.
  • Determine root cause of circuit failure on printed circuit assemblies to the component level by using standard troubleshooting techniques.
  • Repair defects that cause circuit failure on printed circuit assemblies by removing and replacing electronic components.
  • Repair failed or defective printed circuit boards using techniques that conform to IPC guidelines and acceptability.
  • Determine acceptability of printed circuit boards and assemblies using IPC standards, company and customer guidelines to ensure conformance to industry and design specifications.
  • Interface with engineering and manufacturing test group to provide support for production test process and support test equipment.
  • Provide work leadership and technical assistance to lower-level employees as needed.

Requirements for the Bench Technician

  • 2 to 3 Years of experience as bench technician or technical support for electrometrical assembly.
  • 2 to 3 Years of experience in repair of multi-level printed circuit boards; with trace and pad repair techniques.
  • Strong manual soldering ability with a focus on surface mount technology.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic assemblies to the component level.
  • Strong knowledge on the usage of oscilloscopes, DVM, signal generators, and other commonly used test equipment and instruments.
  • Must possess good mathematical skills.
  • A strong ability to work from schematics; augmented by both written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to use and work with MS office programs with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Basic-intermediate understanding of surface mount and plated through hole assembly processes
