THE POSITION: The individual in this position reviews construction plans and performs field inspections ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, ordinances and policies.

  • \$26.45 to 31.42 per hour depending on experience
  • ICC Residential Building Inspector certifications sponsored by the employer
  • Public Employees Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI), a pension plan with five-year vesting, 11.96% employer contribution, and a lifetime payout upon retirement.

DO YOU QUALIFY?

  • Do you have a Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field
  • OR do you have a high school diploma/GED and an associates degree in building Inspection, engineering, architectural drafting
  • OR related field and a minimum of 2 years related experience?
  • Do you possess or have the ability to possess related ICC Residential Building Inspector certifications?
  • Do you have a working knowledge of:
    • building, mechanical, energy, and fire codes
    • state housing laws, local zoning ordinances
    • health and safety codes
    • construction plans, materials, methods and safety standards
  • Do you possess or have the ability to possess a drivers license and be insurable?
