Role Summary

Splunk Education is looking for an experienced systems engineer to join our Education Technologies Team. Our team is focused on building systems that help users learn to use our products in innovative ways. Do you love tackling interesting problems and coming up with clean, stable solutions that delight users? We need to talk.

This role will provide a constant stream of new things to learn, providing the opportunity to expand your current knowledge and deep dive into new technologies. What you'll get to do

  • Participate in design and development of projects, either independently or in a team.

  • Be self-sufficient and take ownership of seeing projects through to successful conclusions.

  • Work with a diverse team of experts in education, video production, security and IT infrastructure.

  • Tasks include deploying and monitoring system infrastructure in AWS, managing Terraform and Ansible playbooks which provision lab instances and working with the support team to triage escalated issues.

Must-have Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience Deep knowledge of AWS, Ansible, Terraform and Python. Ability to read, understand and produce documentation.

  • Experience with Linux administration, CICD pipeline, GIT, and Splunk.

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $108,000.00 - 148,500.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $97,200.00 - 133,650.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $86,400.00 - 118,800.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
