Aerotek Maintenance Technician-2nd Shift in Clyde, Ohio

Job Title: Maintenance Technician - UP TO $32/hr

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all plant equipment, buildings, and grounds, ensuring optimal operational efficiency. With a focus on both mechanical (60%) and electrical (40%) tasks, you will work in a dynamic environment that houses 60 advanced robots.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Repair & Maintenance: Perform troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of equipment, including pumps, valves, relief valves, hoses, cylinders, conveyor belts, chains, motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), transformers, and electrical systems (480v, 240v single-phase, and three-phase).

  • Installation & Setup: Install three-phase systems, run conduit and wiring, and conduct thorough observations of mechanical devices to identify and resolve issues.

  • Component Inspection & Repair: Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective parts, inspect components for wear and dimensional changes, and adjust or replace parts as needed.

  • Machine Performance Testing: Lubricate and clean machinery, and start equipment to test performance, ensuring all systems operate smoothly.

  • Electrical Maintenance: Repair electrical equipment and control systems, adhering to safety standards and procedures according to OSHA and ANSI regulations.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records in compliance with quality procedures, conduct plant-wide safety checks, and complete maintenance request forms.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance tasks, including repairing and performing PM on auxiliary equipment, while following lockout/tagout procedures for safety.

  • Inventory Management: Complete requisitions for maintenance items and ensure timely completion of all repairs.

  • Hard Skills:

  • Proficient in maintenance technician duties, with experience in hydraulics and electrical systems up to 480v.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and mechanical aptitude.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and safety awareness.

  • Efficient record-keeping and organizational skills.
