Job Description The Regulatory Analyst supports the regulatory team in analyzing cost of service, rate design, and pricing for electric and natural gas utilities. This role involves assisting in data collection, performing basic financial analyses, and preparing documentation for regulatory filings. The ideal candidate is eager to learn about utility economics and regulatory policies, demonstrating strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Some of the assistance involves preparing, collecting, compiling, analyzing, and reporting on technical, demographic, and financial utility data to support cost of service studies, regulatory reporting, rate setting and pricing, and other fiscal planning. In addition, provides witness support in regulatory proceedings. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations. Job Responsibilities Gather and organize data related to utility operations, costs, and pricing. Perform basic financial and economic analyses to support cost of service studies and rate design initiatives. Monitor regulatory proceedings and summarize relevant information for the team. Work closely with senior analysts and other departments to support regulatory projects. Prepare summaries and presentations to communicate findings to team members. Ensure all analyses and reports comply with regulatory standards and company policies. Maintain organized records of data sources, analyses, and regulatory communications. Assists in the preparation of regulatory filings, reports, and rate case testimony. Provide statistical and analytical support on pricing, rate design and cost allocation to be used in regulatory filings and internal reporting. Participate and provide support for the development of regulatory policy and strategy. Provide witness assistant support in pricing, rate design and regulatory matters. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor degree in business, accounting, economics, finance, or applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. At least one year of utility experience and an understanding of state regulation of electric and gas utilities. Strong communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Desired Qualifications Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Experience with data visualization tools and financial modeling. 2-4 years of experience in utility pricing, cost-of-service analysis, or related areas.
