The Logistics Operations Specialist will primarily support the strategic initiatives of the various European transportation modes in region mainly. Key activities are data compilation & analytics. This is a great opportunity to understand and develop Copeland Logistics programs, transportation systems and processes, as well as the end-to-end overview of the Copeland Supply Chain Programs!

This role is based in Cluj-Napoca.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Support strategic mode team processes, including the development of common processes for the selection, development, tensioning, and implementation of transportation providers.

  • Assist in negotiations, driven tension events, analytics, data collection, scrubbing, compilation, and data standardization.

  • Conduct spot bids and support bids for project freight.

  • Support cost reductions and transportation optimization projects, as well as carrier transitions.

  • Supervise supplier data metrics, engage carriers to improve on-time delivery and on-time collection performance, and coordinate recurrent calls with carriers to improve KPIs.

  • Assist in carrier training related to various logistics tools.

  • Coordinate the global provider risk mitigation process and reporting, closely supervising providers' risk related to financials, legal, and business requirements (certifications, insurance, etc.) to minimize potential supply chain disruptions.

  • Communicate and interact with Enterprise Logistics Leaders on matters pertaining to mode management.

  • Support the Team Leader in projects to onboard Copeland sites into SCO and improve spend under management.

  • Support the operational management of the Copeland Cross Dock Network.

  • Coordinate and resolve issues related to the logistics network and escalate critical issues to management.

  • Support SCO Operational and Audit Pay Teams in ground rates or carrier-related inquiries.

  • Work with Business Units Freight Audit & Payment Manager and Mode Team members to ensure the CASS collaboration process and invoice approval is done in a timely manner.

  • Work with carriers and CASS to solve any invoice or procedural issues.

  • Report key metrics, participate in supply chain and logistics strategic meetings, and develop and present materials to management.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.

  • 2 years of relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Superb communication skills (English is a must - both verbal and written).

  • Comfortable interacting with staff across globally diverse businesses and multiple functional areas.

  • Familiarity with logistics tools and systems.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience in European logistics.

  • Familiar with Transportation Management System (TMS) and/or Electronic Data Interchange (EDI.

  • Data analytics experiences to include advanced excel, data visualization, data cleansing, programming (SQL, Python, SQL) and curiosity about machine learning.
