By joining us as a Cloud Financial Analyst, you will play an important role in managing and optimizing the financial aspects of our cloud computing services, specifically with Microsoft Azure. Your expertise in efficient cloud resource management, budgeting, and forecasting will support the organization's strategic goals.

You will work closely with our transformation partners and contribute to our Cloud Center of Excellence, sharing your insights and standard processes with other cloud experts and enthusiasts. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Conduct detailed analyses of Azure cloud spending, using Azure Cost Management tools to break down costs by service, department, and project.

  • Identify underutilized or inefficiently allocated Azure resources and propose optimization strategies such as right sizing or reserved instances.

  • Build comprehensive and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports on cloud spending, highlighting trends, anomalies, and areas of concern.

  • Perform variance analysis between actual cloud spend and budget forecasts, investigating and explaining significant discrepancies.

  • Develop comprehensive policies for cloud procurement, usage, and cost allocation, ensuring efficient and responsible spending.

  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions and mentorship for various teams to improve understanding of cloud economics and responsible cloud usage.

  • Engage with external vendors and consultants to benchmark cloud spending and explore opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements.

  • Continuously learn and develop your skills regarding Azure services and cloud financial management trends through professional development and certifications.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field courses.

  • At least 5 years of proven experience working with Microsoft Azure services, with a focus on Azure Cost Management and Azure Advisor.

  • Solid understanding of cloud computing principles.

  • Experience with agile and scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience managing FinOps for various initiatives, particularly migrating workloads from on-premises to Azure.

  • Experience leading or mentoring a team of developers and architects.

  • Experience working with multiple clients across different domains and industries.
