Position Type: Tutors/ESL Tutor Date Posted: 6/27/2024 Location: Cloquet High School Position Title: Spanish Interpreter Primary Location: Cloquet High School Assignment Specifications: 6.5 hours per day on Mon, Tues, Thur and Fri; 6/hours on Wednesday School Days only: 8:30am-3:30pm Mon, Tues, Thur and Fri; 8:30am-3:00pm on Wednesday School Year: 2024-25 Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Building Principal and direction of the classroom and EL teacher, the language interpreter translates and/or interprets classroom instruction from Spanish to English Provide language interpretation between school staff, students, and families as needed Provides translation of materials as needed Provides support and reinforcement of classroom instruction in both English and the native language Qualifications: Must have demonstrated skills or experience in supervising student behavior and applying consistent consequences for appropriate and inappropriate behaviors; using basic office equipment; effectively presenting information in 1:1 and/or small group situations to students concerning district/program routines, policies, rules, learning principles, concepts and other lesson plans Applicant must be fluent in both English and Spanish
