Description

We are on the lookout for a proficient Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in Clive. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll be tasked with performing a variety of functions to ensure the accurate processing of accounts payable. You will be handling vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and account reconciliation. You'll also be tasked with maintaining records, generating reports, and resolving any discrepancies with managers and vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process vendor invoices and employee expense reports

• Conduct account reconciliations with vendors

• Set up new vendors and obtain necessary documentation for both new and existing vendors

• Generate and process check payments of accounts payable and record ACH payments

• Import invoice data files into accounting software for accurate record keeping

• Handle AP emails from vendors, facilities, and other team members, ensuring prompt and accurate responses

• Conduct weekly vendor disbursements and off-schedule payments

• Maintain high level of interdepartmental teamwork

• Perform other duties as assigned within the finance department

• Manage vendor W9 and prepare and distribute 1099 forms

• Ensure all staff is appropriately trained in their respective roles.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to perform Check Runs efficiently

• Familiarity with Coding Invoices

• Excellent Data Entry skills

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software system
