Job Details

Minimum Qualifications:

• In a college, university or graduate level student pursuing a Marketing, Communications, or similar degree in a related field.

• An interest in nonprofit management, business development, education, human services, urban planning, and/or community planning.

• Valid NYS Drivers’ License.

Job Requirements:

Marketing and Public Relations Duties

• Assisting in the concept and production of promotional and informational materials for FLACRA programs including posters, printouts, brochures, photos, and web-based marketing.

• Maintain stock of all marketing supplies.

• Organizing and recruitment of resources to include volunteers, brochure expansion, grant applications.

• Perform in-person outreach to partners and community members to inform them of FLACRA services/programs.

• Work with information databases/mailing lists.

• Assist with conducting outreach, recruiting volunteers, coordinate projects, public relations, press releases, fund raising events, conduct outreach.

• Utilize social media such as blogs, web banners, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn that promote our events and businesses.

• Develop and maintain agency newsletter.

• Participate in community events such as health fairs, community forums, workshops, alumni groups, and recruitment of QHP’s.

• Collect and maintain data for reports that demonstrate outcomes.

• Evaluate the implementation of the marketing strategy.

• Plan employee celebrations and wellness activities.

• Maintain overall calendar and scheduling of marketing and public relations events.

• Other Skills/Knowledge and Experience

• Good customer service skills including excellent written and verbal skills.

• Creativity and enthusiasm.

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases, social media.

• Must be able to work under tight deadlines and respond to being called in if needed.

• A flexible schedule including evenings, weekends may be assigned at times.

• Self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Experience using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube.

• Experience with HTML, WordPress, and/or SharePoint is a plus.

• Must be comfortable speaking with new people and diverse groups.
