SUMMARY

As a Behavioral Health Tech, you assist the Registered Nurse (RN) to assess patient's functioning as well as develop and implement treatment plans and services. Your attention to detail, patience and compassion contributes to patients' successful treatment and rehabilitation.

STATUS: Full Time (36 hours)

LOCATION: Clifton Springs Hospital - Inpatient Mental Health

DEPARTMENT: Inpatient Mental Health

SCHEDULE: Days

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides direct care services to patient on an individual and group basis, to include but not limited to activities of daily living, social, and psychiatric rehabilitation per treatment plan, as directed by Unit Leadership.
  • Participates in the development of a comprehensive treatment plan sharing patient's needs and wants as communicated by patient directly through patient surveys, collaterals, and treatment team.
  • Documents and communicates patient response to treatment effectively and accurately and in a timely manner according to Program Policies and Procedures.
  • Provides comprehensive care to patients in a professional and caring manner and is able to take appropriate actions and communicate findings to the multidisciplinary team.

  • Intercedes on behalf of customer to ensure they have access to required services.
  • Participates in the peer review process and utilizes quality improvement techniques to improve quality and reduce costs.
  • Participates as a member of multidisciplinary team by providing feedback, maintain professional relationships, providing program and patient specific feedback and recommendations.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
  • Understands and practices established RGHS policies, procedures, goals, standards of care, quality improvement activities, safety, and environmental and infection control.
  • Perform and record technical procedures as delegated.
  • Assist with the admission, discharge, transfer, transport and repositioning of patients.
  • Ensure medical equipment is clean, maintained and functional and refers equipment for needed repairs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid NYS drivers license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

PAY RANGE: $17.25 - $19.40

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
