Cleveland Clinic Systems Analyst III - Value Based Performance in Cleveland, Ohio

This is a remote position for candidates in Ohio, Florida or Nevada preferred

Systems Analyst IIIs participate in feasibility analysis, estimating, planning, designing, developing, prototyping, implementing, quality assurance evaluation and modification of automated systems, as well as define training requirements, assist with automated systems training, and recommend solutions to enhance system functionality.

The ideal future caregiver is someone who:

  • Has a college degree in a related field (Computer Science, Data Analytics, Database Management, etc.).

  • Has experience working in a healthcare environment with both operational and nursing data from multiple nursing areas.

  • Is comfortable with Tableau, Teradata, SQL server, and Excel.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports and designs department project assignments and small system implementation.

  • Provides input to solution development efforts.

  • Completes assignments as directed.

  • Maintains schedules.

  • Tracks information system resources for assigned projects.

  • Reports on project time-lines and documents performance.

  • Develops work products, documentation of operational and business objectives, best technology capabilities and task level resource requirements.

  • Maintains project task plans, documentation and communications.

  • Maintains IT products, including planning and obtaining customer input and a knowledge of the existing functionality and limitations.

  • Serves as the technical expertise providing guidance and direction to other professional staff and resolving complex problems; participates in developing strategic plans for systems/applications development and modification within area of expertise.

  • Reviews system requirements with customers and translates requirements into specific functions or deliverables.

  • Analyzes flow chart processes and recommends ways to reduce steps and increase efficiency through use of technology.

  • The Value Based Performance Analyst serves as a key member of Value Based Performance Team for assigned commercial value-based contracts implementation, performance, and maintenance of designated value based programs

  • Acts as a liaison between department and internal as well as external stakeholders

  • This position works collaboratively with internal teams including Value Based Operations, Navigation Team, Contract Nurses, Medical Economics, Enterprise Analytics, Contracting, Payor Operations, Product Team, Quality Alliance (independent practices), and CCF Hospitals, as well as external teams from various national and regional payor stakeholders to achieve and report on the Triple Aim of reducing cost, improving quality, and optimizing patient experience

  • The role is key to the development and implementation of initiatives and programs to support the CCHS value based strategy. This includes performing industry and regulatory analysis that will be used to identify, evaluate, and develop recommendations to support value based contracting, planning, and execution

  • Can develop and implement initiatives and programs to support the Cleveland Clinic value based strategy

  • Develops, implements, manages and maintains operational systems and activities

  • Manages multiple priorities and projects with competing deadlines

  • Allocates time to meet completion requirements

  • Serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department

  • Develop an expert-level knowledge of performance levers including attribution, quality, utilization, and risk documentation

  • Supports data collection, analysis, reporting, and supplemental data efforts for value based contract performance

  • Prepares and implements action plans to drive quality, cost, and utilization performances

  • Validates the accuracy of payor quality reports and communicate discrepancies

  • Takes actions to correct the discrepancies

  • Drives performance on value based contracts by driving joint payor and CC initiatives

  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual summary and detail reports of clinical and operational performance related to performance in value based contracts.

  • Creates and maintains tableau dashboards

  • Establish, influence, and manage internal and external cross-functional relationships to ensure the effective execution of initiatives

  • Partners across the enterprise to implement value based contracts and drive value based contract performance with cross-functional partners including but not limited to Value Based Operations, Navigation Team, Contract Nurses, Medical Economics, Enterprise Analytics, Contracting, Payor Operations, Quality Alliance (independent practices), and CCF Institutes, Hospitals, and third parties

  • Works in a team environment and partner within Market Network Services with Contract Managers to incorporate value based payment models into health plan agreements

  • Provides information monthly and as needed to chair/director.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree preferred.

Certifications:

  • Microsoft, CompTIA, or equivalent preferred.

  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date.

Complexity of Work:

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and communication skills are required.

  • Excellent at problem solving and relationship building.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in information technology dealing with applications development and support, or end user training, or equivalent experience in an operational or financial role utilizing the systems or data generated by the systems supported by this position.

  • Offset: High School diploma/GED and seven years of experience.

  • Offset: Bachelor's degree and three years of experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

  • In some locations, ability to move up to 20 lbs.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Minimum of three years progressively responsible experience in healthcare analytics, reporting with multi-disciplinary organizational and operational structure and large hospital/physician provider organization and healthcare consulting.

  • Knowledge of Value Based Contracts/HEDIS/CMS preferred

  • Strong SQL Skills

  • Healthcare terminology knowledge

  • Tableau experience preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables)

  • Experience in data interpretation and analysis preferred

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $33.46

Maximum hourly: $51.03
