Location: 1301 Avenue of the Americas - New York, New York 10019 SVP/Head of Clean Energy - Key Equipment Finance Location: Open ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF) SVP of Clean Energy is a senior level position and part of the executive leadership team of Key Equipment Finance and expected to lead and deliver on all objectives for the segment. He/she will be responsible for creating the strategy for the business while managing and directing a team of professionals related to the origination and closing of renewable energy assets including solar, fuel cells, renewable natural gas, energy storage, EV and EV charging infrastructure, combined heat and power ("CHP"), as well as energy efficiency and energy conservation and carbon reduction/recapture measures. Primary product solution today are sale/leaseback structures and debt solutions related to energy efficiency projects. This role will guide the direction and continued growth of the segment, decision new initiatives, gather and translate market information out to broader team and organization, and guide prospecting efforts. The incumbent will also be expected to manage the sales activities of the team including pricing, the internal approval process, the utilization of tax equity across multiple opportunities consisting of various equipment types and deal structures, adherence to aspects such as residual setting and project modeling, as well as risk assessment and evaluation, all while maintaining a focus on sustaining returns and meeting/exceeding overall volume and revenue targets of the business. He/she should be a thought leader with extensive knowledge of the industry inclusive of underlying agreements and how these are monetized. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Responsible for developing the strategy and growing KEF's Clean Energy segment and market share by guiding the team in identifying, developing, structuring, and closing distributed renewable energy finance opportunities Oversee full sales cycle responsibilities including but are not limited to business development and prospecting efforts, supporting existing and prospective client relationships with team, ensure transaction structures of remain in-line with product offerings and business direction inclusive of established economic criteria including residuals and pricing metrics and guidelines, utilize credit acumen to filter/promote opportunities, etc. Function as the 'face of the business' internally and externally, exhibiting thought leadership through various marketing channels, engaging with the organization as a whole to increase awareness and involvement from other client-facing components of the organization so as to further collaboration across the enterprise. Develop/maintain a thorough understanding of federal and state energy related incentive programs and how these are interpreted and integrated into various financing structures. Engage with all internal functional departments in KEF (Credit, Asset Management, Operations, Legal, Pricing, Capital Markets, Compliance, etc.) to ensure they maintain an appropriate level of understanding as to the state of the business as well as the market, market fundamentals and shifts, emerging technologies, etc. as well as translating any potential impact which ongoing market evolution may pose. Collaborate closely with KeyBanc Capital Markets renewable energy business REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or higher.
