Farnsworth Group is seeking a Survey Crew Chief in Cleveland, OH. We will consider a candidate throughout the states of Indiana and Ohio. Qualified candidates will perform ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Layout. This is not a contract position, we are looking to fill a permanent position where you will have the opportunity to establish a career.
Job Activities:
Perform ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys in accordance with the 2021 ALTA/ NSPS Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
Conduct Boundary Research and Surveys according to Indiana Rule 12 of the Indiana Administrative Code for Boundary Surveys and/or Ohio Chapter 4733-37 Standards for Boundary Surveys (original or retracement surveys)
Perform topographic surveys of small sites to large farm surveys with ATV’s
Conduct Construction Layout for site development, commercial/ retail, residential, industrial/ warehouse, subdivisions, municipal and transportation
Perform As-Built Pipeline Surveys
Perform 3D Scanning, UAV and drone surveys
Specific Requirements include:
High school diploma or equivalent
5-10 years of property surveys, including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Layout.
Proficiency with Trimble GPS, Total Station and Data Collectors
Ability to organize field notes
Ability to read construction plans
Experience performing Boundary Research, preferred
Ability to execute field staking
Strong math skills
Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel 50-60% required in this position.
Desired Qualifications:
Oil & Gas Pipeline experience
DOT experience
UAV license
FAA 107 license
