The Sherwin-Williams Company Sr. Sourcing Specialist in Cleveland, Ohio

This position is responsible for the overall global management of a wide range of Consumer Brands Group (CBG) Applicator products including new product development, toll manufacturing and private label agreements for finished goods. Most of the time is spent in commerce with domestic suppliers, international suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Develop & implement sourcing strategies and plans for CBG Applicators that are consistent with supporting all Business Units' operating plans and objectives. Supplier relationship management for all aspects including supplier selection, strategic supply agreements, negotiating price changes, cost savings, service levels of suppliers, and ensuring strategic direction for suppliers' activities with other functional areas (Marketing, R&D, Operations and Supply Chain). The ability to gather accurate data from multiple systems. Prepare and implement Requests for Proposals (RFP's), complete analysis of the resulting quotes/proposals and negotiate the award of new business. Assess supplier capacities and monitor potential supply impacts, working to implement corrective action plans to avoid disruptions in supply. Raw material and finished good ordering, tracking, and procurement systems setup / management. Monitoring and improving compliance of existing sourcing initiatives. Negotiate and resolve any claims or disputes concerning CBG Applicator suppliers. Assist Marketing, Technical, Operations & Supply Chain in establishing and sourcing of all new Applicator requirements. This includes managing the communication of all requirements including new product design, packaging, and testing specifications for finished good all products. Identify and vet potential new CBG Applicator Suppliers / Sources domestically and globally when necessary. Assisting management with additional commodities/tasks as necessary. Experience: Required: Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Sourcing, Supply Chain or Technical field. Preferred: Knowledge of AOM, QAD, Business Objects, PIM & Microsoft Office Suite Applications. Experience with toll manufacturers is a significant benefit. Manufacturing knowledge or background is a plus. Knowledge of CBG applicators a plus. International business experience a plus. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction/supervision in a fast-paced environment. Track record of increasing responsibility with strong preference and focus on cost savings and supply assurance. Project Management experience a plus.
