Job Profile Summary

We are looking for an looking for an Sr. SAP Basis Administrator. The position requires someone with strong and proven work experience within the area of SAP Basis Administration, Solution Manager ChaRM & Technical configuration, combined with conceptual and analytical thinking. Solid knowledge in SAP Basis leading practices, methodologies processes and control framework, including but not limited to ITIL. Prior experience of working in SAP HEC/RISE environment in regulated industry would be valuable.

Job Responsibilities

This role is subject to Export Control Restrictions (ITAR) and all applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee.

· Drive Basis coordination, operational support, and assistance to the SAP S4 HANA Applications teams with our external Managed and implementation service partners.

· Plan and lead all activities with external Basis support, SAP Functional Analysts (internal/external) and Technical/Development teams (internal/external) to support the design, build, and implementation of various SAP integrated solutions.

· Manage all contractual commitments with our outsourced Basis services provider; includes but it not limited to KPIs, SLAs, periodic reviews, periodic reports, expected deliverables, etc.

· Act as the central point of contact for all additional efforts requiring Basis services; evaluate needs and provide options/recommendations to address the needs, including internal planning, SOW scoping, etc.

· Working with our Basis service provider, proactively evaluate and assess landscape health and evaluate / make recommendations to improve performance in a proactive manner; develop and lead the execution of those plans to improve and ensure ongoing environment health.

· Independently drive issue resolution coordinating with all parties as needed to drive results.

· Apply best practice business processes and technical alternatives while operating in a rapidly changing business environment.

· Oversee day-to-day operations of the SAP environment and provide leadership to the SAP Basis team.

· Develop and maintain relationship with external & internal infrastructure, security compliance team and vendors.

· Drive automation of basis activities.

· Maintain architecture documentation, runbooks for all BASIS components.

· Monitoring Solman & EWA Reporting and Implementing Improvements suggested by EWA.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

· Minimum of 7 years' experience in SAP BASIS Administration including exposure to S/4HANA, cloud technologies and cloud hosting.

· Hands-on experience with SAP Basis Administration tasks such as designing and implementing landscape and infrastructure, client strategy, capacity planning (sizing), high-availability and disaster-recovery setup; desire and ability to execute in a hands-on manner to address areas not able to be addressed by our service provider.

· In-depth knowledge of SAP solutions running on database technologies HANA/MS SQL server & platforms Windows/Linux.

· Strong background in SAP infrastructure best practice and methodologies.

· Provide leadership role in monitoring system performance (SAP & non-SAP) in terms of identification of the issue with trending data, forecasting system capacity (hardware, storage, disk etc.).

· Strong proficiency and experience in SAP performance analysis, tuning and issue resolution.

· Experience with Security Hardening, Audit and Compliance with relation to SOX and other audit regulations.

· Strong understanding of hardware performance, memory, I/O, encryption and data masking.

· Good written and oral skills with ability to communicate effectively with non-technical customers.

· Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to relate to people at any level of business and management and significant experience working with other project managers.

· Good Understanding of business processes and technical development.
