The Sherwin-Williams Company Sr. Analyst, Projects/Initiatives in Cleveland, Ohio
The Sr. Analyst, Projects/Initiatives will play a critical role helping to execute projects and initiatives that have a significant impact on our shared services organization. The Sr. Analyst will interact with individuals of multiple levels within the company across different regions, maintaining individual project and program-level plans and updates within designated project management tools, templates, and other materials utilized by the SBS Operations team. The Sr. Analyst will help identify and implement process improvement and standardization opportunities, and create or improve project templates, presentations, and other materials as needed. The majority of the initiatives will have a finance/back-office focus. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS (1) Support North America initiative workstreams: Coordinate project plan activities for North America initiative workstreams, ensuring activities are well defined, correctly prioritized, and remaining on track Facilitate project meetings, summarizing and following up on identified action items, risks, and issues Lead 1-2 individual projects with the support from the line manager utilizing SBS Operations' standardized methodology Analyze processes to recommend and facilitate harmonization, cost savings, and optimization opportunities, including through automation (2) Provide global program-level initiative support: Maintain program-level status updates and other information in designated project management tools, presentations, and other materials Work with SBS Operations workstream leads to ensure project information is regularly updated in designated project management tools and other locations Take an active role in creating, improving, and standardizing SBS Operations project templates, presentations, and other materials Identify and escalate any initiative, workstream, or program-level risks Lead other initiative or program-specific activities as needed POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or in lieu of related degree, at least 3 years of experience in finance and/or project management roles KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 3+ years of project management or heavy project coordination experience Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced work environment Preferred: Back office and/or General Accounting experience strongly preferred Experience working in a shared services environment Process improvement knowledge Experience with Smartsheet or similar project management tool TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform consistently, multi-tasking as necessary, and demonstrating good communication and organizational skills. Must have an aptitude for learning new processes. Ability to interact with all levels of management using strong written and verbal communications.
