The Sherwin-Williams Company Senior Payroll System Administrator in Cleveland, Ohio

This position is responsible for supporting the full Dayforce payroll solution for the Sherwin-Williams Company. As part of the role, the incumbent will work on both day-to-day operational support as well as strategic projects and initiatives. Operational support responsibilities will include working jointly with IT teams, vendor teams and business teams to support daily payroll processes and proactively seek opportunities to improve and automate processes. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for monitoring support cases and identifying, triaging, and implementing product enhancements. This role will also be required to participate in requirements definition workshops, assist with design documentation, interfaces and reports, and work on data migration, system testing & end-user training in relation to projects. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Responsible for ensuring all aspects of the payroll cycle in Dayforce, including tax, benefits, garnishments, etc. are configured, reconciled, audited, and transmitted accurately and timely. Provide Payroll configuration support to ensure compliance requirements and business needs are met. Ensure timeliness and completeness of inbound and outbound data movements, trouble shoot root cause analysis, and work closely with internal and vendor teams to rectify issues in line with payroll calendars. Establish and maintain a deep understanding of business requirements and the full payroll process, to ensure services delivered are as per agreed obligations and in accordance with SLAs. Think and act ahead, spot opportunities and act accordingly and proactively contribute to process improvements and product enhancements. Proactively support all quarter, and year-end payroll auditing and processing. Manage support related tasks within the HR case management system ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and timely. Identify potential risks and present mitigation solutions to leadership team. Work with cross-functional internal partners to resolve payroll incidents and inquiries. POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience. Preferred: Dayforce certifications. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 5+ years of IT experience 2+ years of payroll configuration and support experience in a high-volume payroll operation payroll experience. Deep understanding of full payroll lifecycle processes. Strong experience in configuring Dayforce payroll module. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with exceptional presentation expertise. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate effectively across various levels internally, including executive level with key stakeholders, as well as externally with third party vendors and external resources. Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to develop process mapping and standard operating procedures. Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced work environment. Preferred: Experience with Dayforce Native payroll module or similar cloud payroll technology. Experience understanding of payroll, benefits and taxation and an understanding of applicable legislative requirements.
