Cleveland Clinic Psychologist - Addiction Psychology in Cleveland, Ohio

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a full-time outpatient psychologist specializing in Substance Use Disorders and related conditions. Cleveland Clinic supports an Alcohol and Drug Recovery Center that includes an interdisciplinary, 16-bed hospital unit, intensive outpatient treatment programs and outpatient clinic, as well as clinical research opportunities in collaboration with other research centers at Cleveland Clinic. Beyond providing clinical services, the group provides teaching to medical students at three local medical school programs, including Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM). In addition, the group participates in the teaching of many physicians in training, including at least three core psychiatry residencies in the area, one of the addiction medicine fellowships, and a lead role in the only addiction psychiatry fellowship in the area. Opportunities for mentoring of counselors abound and some involvement is expected, as well as CEU/CME opportunities such as Grand Rounds presentations and CEU/CME course presentations, with or without associated original research. Additionally, our department offers a multidisciplinary collaborative environment for research. The successful applicant will be appointed to the CCLCM at a level commensurate with experience. The psychologist would have the opportunity to lead group interventions with high-achieving people in continuing recovery as well as a very well-developed and respected outpatient treatment program for physicians and other health professionals.

Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited psychology program, completed an accredited internship with relevant experience and have completed a postdoctoral fellowship. Eligibility for licensure in Ohio is essential. Strong candidates will possess expertise in the provision of evidence-based treatments.
