Arconic Production Trainee in Cleveland, Ohio
Arconic's Cleveland Operations manufacturing facility at 1600 Harvard Ave. has immediate openings for Production Trainees. The Production Trainee position is an hourly, bargaining unit role represented by the UAW.
Candidates will perform a variety of tasks including the following: setting up the presses, assisting with die changes, manually moving product in and out of the furnace, operating a mill gun/chipping hammer to remove imperfections from aluminum parts, and using an overhead crane to move parts from baskets to work stands.
Candidates must have the flexibility to rotate in different positions throughout the plant.
Candidates must be able to work any shift (days, afternoons, or nights).
This position requires overtime on weekdays as well as weekends.
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
Physical Requirements: The ability to raise/lower an object with control by reaching near floor, knee, waist, or chest levels. The ability to keep or regain balance or remain upright when walking or running on varying surfaces. The ability to make precisely coordinated movements with fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, place or assemble very small items. The ability to quickly move the hand, wrist, and elbow of one or both arms to grossly grasp, manipulate, place, or turn parts.
